Speaker: Chad M. Holton, Project Manager for Trinity River Authority - Lake Livingston Project

Born and raised in North Texas Chad quickly developed a love for the outdoors.  After graduating from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelors in Forest Management in 1995, it didn’t take long to realize that the Piney Woods of East Texas was the place he wanted to call home.  He worked for a forestry consultant (Larson and McGowin, Inc) in Huntsville from 1995 to 2014 managing timberland across the southeast for Timber Investment  anagement Organizations.  After leaving East Texas for a short period of time to open a branch office in Alabama, He returned to East Texas for a position as Land and Emergency Manager for Trinity River Authority at Lake Livingston. The position carried the responsibility of communication with county Emergency Management Coordinators and weather forecast agencies during flood events. In addition, he managed the TRA park sites around the lake. After consolidating positions at LLP in 2016, he became the Assistant Project Manager of Operations for LLP. In 2021, He was promoted to Project Manager for the Lake Livingston Project and currently lives at the Project. His position is one of the three positions at the LLP project that carries out the gate operation procedures for the Lake Livingston Dam. He often speaks within the local communities to help educate locals about TRA and Lake Livingston. He fells blessed to work with a great organization such as the Trinity River Authority and even more so to live within the region of East Texas.
